20191201 Bayesian Optimization Microrobots
High-Dimensional Bayesian Optimization for Soft Microrobots – I completed a specialized research project at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, focusing on learning-based control methods for soft microrobots. I investigated the application of high-dimensional Bayesian optimization to learn model-free locomotion policies for light-driven microrobotic systems. By combining Bayesian optimization with dimensionality-reduction techniques and surrogate modeling, I developed strategies to efficiently optimize locomotion speed across complex parameter spaces in simulated environments.
